| SSB’s primary goal is customer
satisfaction, which means providing systems that satisfy the
requirements of the users at the least cost and risk to the
customer. Reinventing the wheel is never cost effective or timely.
With this in mind, SSB employs a talented combination of systems
analysts, database developers, software and system engineers,
and web technologists to analyze the requirements in order to
identify the most effective implementation strategy. Our engineers
recognize that integration of existing systems with COTS products
is often a less expensive, more effective implementation strategy
than starting from scratch. In many cases, there are existing
products that can support the user requirements, and SSB’s
in-depth knowledge and partnerships with organizations in the
industry enable them to identify and integrate such products
into an effective, efficient solution. |
| |
| SSB continually evaluates and utilizes
the most applicable COTS products to support project functionality
whenever possible. When evaluating requirements, SSB's goal
is to find the best solution for the customer. There are often
multiple strategies for a system implementation, and SSB works
closely with the client to prioritize requirements and evaluate
options. SSB's engineers perform a careful evaluation of the
existing infrastructure, taking into consideration cost and
schedule constraints. |

Often, there is the need for adding system
capabilities without interrupting existing critical system
functions and data. The SSB team has developed many systems
with critical legacy systems and has been responsible for:

 |
 |
 |
Integrating dissimilar legacy
systems through a single new interface, |
 |
| |
 |
Integration of multiple COTS products to support
a single system, and |
 |
| |
 |
Migration of dissimilar legacy systems to
a newly designed single system or through a COTS interface. |
