MedWay gathers various types of information from our users. We want to ensure that you understand what information we gather about you, how we use it, and the safeguards we have in place in order to protect it. Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we do NOT sell or share that information with other marketers. We share customer information only with trusted agencies, such as State Licensing Boards, and submit member course information annually to organizations such as the AARC.
How do we obtain the information and what do we do with it?
Type of Information Example Directly from you: When you register on the MedWay site, we ask for certain information. Some information is necessary in order to create a userid and password. This information is used to store course selection, test scores, and provides information for the generation of your certificate. You may choose not to provide the optional information, but that prevent us from contacting you if necessary.

Automatic Information: Like many Web sites, we use "cookies." Cookies are small pieces of information that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser. Cookies enable our system to recognize you and track your progress through the course. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, we are not able to recognize you and you will not be able to navigate the site.

How Secure is My Information?
We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you enter. We use only the last 5 digits of your Social Security Number to create a unique userid and password. This information is not shared with any other party. When you submit your credit card information, the data is immediately encrypted, transmitted, and decrypted by the credit card processor.
Does MedWay keep Cookies?
MedWay does not use persistent cookies (persistent tokens that pass information back and forth from the client machine to the server). MedWay does use session cookies (tokens that remain active only until you close your browser) in order to make the site easier to use. MedWay DOES NOT keep a database of information obtained from these cookies.
Who has Access to My Information?
We restrict and limit access to customer information only to those employees who need it to carry out their business functions, and educate our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use.
Is the Site Traffic Monitored?
For site security purposes and to ensure that the MedWay site remains available to all users, our computer system uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on the MedWay site are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
Who sees my E-mail comments?
You may choose to provide us with personal information, as in an e-mail message containing your comments or questions. We use this information to improve our service to you or to respond to your request. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, we do not share our e-mail with any other outside organizations. We also retain an email log of the time each message is received by the server, the source and destination address of each message, the time each message is forwarded, the delivery status of each message, and a unique email identifier number. The email log may be retained up to 90 days.
Which Information Can I Access?
You can access your course information at any time by going to the Account Status tab and entering your userid. All completed courses, the date taken, and score received is displayed on that page.
How do I Update My Information?
When you have a change of address or other information, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will update the information for you.
SSB, INC may update this policy from time to time. Please check our policy periodically for changes.
