Heading: Position Description
SSB is looking for a J2EE Developer with at five (5) plus years of professional experience as a programmer in the J2EE environment. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining web-based applications. The candidate will be responsible for new development, enhancements and maintenance in Java/J2EE [JMS, EJB and Servlets] and extensive knowledge of design patterns. The candidate will also be responsible for the design, coding, and testing of company's JAVA based applications; design and implement web based applications. Primary development uses [Java, XML, XSLT, Java Servlets, DOM, Xerces/Xalan, XMLObject, JSTL, JSP, MVC2/Struts], stored procedures, triggers and views, and Oracle PL/SQL.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Perform technical work using J2EE, Struts and JSTL.
  • Implement based on requirements specifications for applications.
  • Work closely with project manager to meet schedule.

    		 5+ years of J2EE experience and 2+ years Struts & JSTL experience.

    		 Interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities are an absolute must.

    		 4-8 years experience in the in software industry, a minimum 4 of which have been in Java/J2EE development.

    		 Knowledge in Oracle database design and implementation.

    		 Knowledge in Object-Relational Mapping tools, such as Toplink or Hibernate

    		 Experienced with web services APIs.

    		 Experienced with rapid application development (RAD) methodology. Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick software release environment.
