SSB is looking for a Junior Developer/Analyst who has been exposed to a variety of information technology skills. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, flexible and focused on producing quality work. The individual will need to have some programming skills and be experienced in HTML, PHP, JavaScript and SQL. Ideally the candidate will have a knowledge of MySQL databases. Exceptional customer service skills will also be necessary since the selected candidate will be providing helpdesk support to a few of SSB, Inc's Learning Management Systems.

The Jr Developer/Systems Analyst will:
  • Provide helpdesk support for the SSB correctional officer and law enforcement Learning Management System (LMS) websites.
  • Write queries to generate reports or extract data for delivery in Excel spreadsheets on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain, update and implement web content and web-based applications for the LMS websites in a PHP and MySQL environment.
  • Identify and implement upgrades to the LMS.
  • Work closely with a curriculum development staff and oversee course curriculum development.
  • Maintain rigid configuration management for the LMS websites using Subversion.
