SSB is looking for a Configuration Manager/Technical Writer to manage the development and maintenance of training courses for our e-Learning website. The position requires an organized individual who can schedule and direct multiple writers in the development of new courses based on identified topics; the update of existing courses; and the translation of instructor-led courseware materials (e.g. PowerPoint briefing) into text-based material for on-line presentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication and writing skills and possess an eye for detail. The candidate should be skilled at working with writers to ensure consistency and accuracy. The candidate will review all material for grammar and content. The work will require close coordination with the e-Learning content team for conversion of course to on-line format.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Establishing writing guidelines and ensuring adherence to the guidelines.
- Reviewing all content for consistency and accuracy.
- Implementing a Configuration Management process to manage the content through upgrade revisions.
- Coordinating writers, mostly part-time consultants, to generate appropriate courses.
- Work closely with e-Learning team members to meet schedules.
