Heading: Position Description
SSB is looking for IT Security Specialists. The ideal candidates will provide Information Assurance (IA) support services to the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 in accordance with the applicable DoD/OSD, Army CIO, and government regulations. The job will require performing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of Information Systems (IS) in accordance with DIACAP process and analysis of IA regulatory requirements for impact on G-3/5/7. The individuals will develop, prepare and distribute agency IA security policies and procedures; monitor and investigate and mitigate system security violations within G-3/5/7; notifying appropriate security personnel; and submit incident reports. They will assist in the development and maintenance of the G-3/5/7 Information Assurance program to address unique security training and IA architecture. The individuals will maintain the Information Assurance Vulnerability Message (IAVM) process and input data into the Asset and Vulnerability Tracking Resource (A&VTR) Database to ensure compliance to IAVM requirements.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Perform Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of Information Systems (IS) in accordance with DIACAP process.
  • Develop, prepare and distribute agency IA security policies and procedures.
  • Understand and maintain the Information Assurance Vulnerability Message (IAVM) process.
  • Work closely with project manager and team members to meet schedule.
