Task Lead - Senior Analyst
Level: Mid-level (7+ years experience)

Heading: Position Description
SSB is looking for a lead software/systems analyst with varying experience in all aspects of system/software support including:
  • Experience in object oriented design and web technologies to support design and documentation of various command and control and business applications.
  • Reviewing and analyzing existing code to generate new, and update existing, engineering documentation;
  • Supporting comprehensive system testing from development of test plans and procedures through system test;
  • Identifying methods for assisting and guiding users in the utilization, operation and maintenance of various applications to include generation of on-line help, user manuals, etc.

    The lead Analyst will be responsible for coordinating requirements with the customer, planning the technical activities necessary to accomplish the various requirements in an agile design and development environment, and directing a team responsible for three key thrusts of the overall effort. Development environments are .NET web applications and web services (SOA-like), and portal (thin client). The analyst will perform and coordinate analysis and design efforts in a multi-location environment.

    Areas of Responsibility:
    • Lead a group of approximately 8-10 analysts and technical writers in the support of documenting, testing and evaluating .Net applications.
    • Review and analyze existing applications in order to develop/update detailed supporting documentation.
    • Maintain and implement consistent processes in accordance with CMMI.
    • Provide recommendations for design improvements such as the replacement of developed modules with COTS tools.
    • Provide quality control through bug tracking system.
    • Identify and implement/develop methods for improving help and end user reference documentation.

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum 6 years expereience with the design and documentation of complex software systems

    Minimum 2 years developing schedules and milestones to monitor work progress.
