| Information has become an invaluable and
differentiating resource for all organizations in this Age of Information.
Unfortunately, many organizations are unable to trust the information
in their own databases; the quality and effectiveness of data going into
the system directly correlates to the quality of the resultant data.
SSB enables government and commercial organizations to identify and logically
segment their information and effectively learn to manage that information.
By designing and developing OLAP and OLTP databases, and integrating
these databases with user-friendly, error-reducing front-end systems,
SSB provides organizations the ability to store, manage, evaluate and
manipulate data in ways that have been previously inaccessible. |

| The SSB team recognizes that it is necessary
to understand the client's current and future requirements in order to
design a database that will effectively meet the current needs of the
customer and will evolve as the customer's organization evolves. With
this in mind, the SSB team works closely with the client to understand
their data requirements and anticipated direction of growth in order
to design a database that performs efficiently and effectively in their
environment now and over the long-term. The SSB team has the in-depth
knowledge and skills to support database implementation, starting with
database installation and proceeding through all phases to integration.
SSB is experienced in optimizing database configuration and performance
tuning as well, ensuring successful system utilization. |

| Numerous companies, in multiple
industries, are committing to and achieving tremendous benefits
from data warehousing. These benefits include: faster and better
decision making, employee empowerment at all levels, scenario
analysis to include business forecasting, analysis of anything
and everything, and process control. SSB has the knowledge and
skills to help companies achieve these benefits through the
design and implementation of data warehouses. The primary concepts
of data warehousing are effective access of the data required
for business analysis, its separation from operational data
and its storage for quick retrieval. SSB has designed multi-dimensional
databases to enable organizations to evaluate and explore past
business experiences and support the prediction for future potential.
SSB understands that organizations and their needs vary. Taking
the time to understand the goals of the organization is crucial
to the effective organization of data for analysis, forecasting,
transaction processing and other functions. SSB has worked with
numerous organizations using multiple data-warehousing tools
such as Oracle Express Server and EPM to meet their client's
needs. |

| With the advent of new and
more powerful databases, many organizations find themselves
with large and/or important quantities of data resident in legacy
systems. In many cases, the data is duplicated across systems
because early system design included separate systems to perform
functions requiring the same data. Data duplication across the
systems often results in inconsistencies or errors in the data
entry. The organizations are faced with obsolete systems where
the data is valuable and must be retained. Because of the data
duplication, it is often necessary to integrate the data from
several stovepipe systems into one newly designed database system.
SSB is effective at analyzing existing systems, identifying
data duplication and working with the client to determine data
migration techniques to maximize data accuracy and minimize
manual data review. Through the Extract, Transform and Load
process, SSB has enabled many organizations to move to a new
system without loss of data. |
