401 (k) Retirement Plan - The Retirement Plan is available to all regular employees after 3 months of employment. Employees may elect to contribute the maximum annual allowable funds each year (up to $15,500 in 2007). Further, employees over 50 may elect to add catch-up contributions ($5,000 in 2007). SSB will match half of the employee's first 10% of annual salary deferred contribution each year.
Leave - SSB offers vacation, sick, and personal leave on an annual accrual basis. Each employee accrues a minimum of 10 vacation days each year plus additional sick/personal days.
Holidays - SSB provides employees with 10 observed holidays each year, one of which is your birthday.
Tuition Reimbursement - SSB encourages employees to continue their educational studies and offsets the costs for qualified employees by providing up to $2,000 for tuition reimbursement.
Training/Seminar Opportunities - SSB encourages attending outside training/seminars to help employees keep their skills and knowledge up to date and to foster personal and professional growth.
Financial Bonuses - SSB pays merit bonuses to employees for a job well-done.
Event Bonuses - SSB provides employees with semi-annual celebration outings for winning new business, or for no particular reason other than we want to have fun.  These outings are for both employees and their guests and include picnics, crab feasts, posh dinners, and day trips on the Chesapeake or to New York.  Employees nominate and vote on ideas for each event.

Medical/Dental Insurance - SSB provides a comprehensive Copay/Deductible Benefit Plan. All premiums for the employee are fully paid by SSB.
Life Insurance - SSB provides employees with $50,000 in Basic (term) and Accidental Death insurance at no cost to the employee. The employee may purchase additional Basic and AD insurance or dependent life insurance if they so choose.
Long Term Disability Insurance - SSB provides a company funded long term disability benefit that provides a source of income in the event of a non-occupational illness or injury.
Short Term Disability Insurance - SSB provides a company funded short term disability benefit that provides a source of income in the event of a non-occupational illness or injury.
